Potawatomi Hotel & Casino has opened the renovated casino’s third floor.
US.- The Potawatomi Hotel & Casino in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, has opened its renovated third floor to the public. It’s the first phase of an estimated $190m renovation project that will be completed next year with the opening of a new sportsbook.
The renovations include the addition of what is now the casino’s largest gaming area, ElevenHundred. It includes 633 slot machines, 16 gaming tables (12 blackjack, two roulette and two craps), a new dual-wheel roulette game, electronic blackjack and craps games. The ElevenHundred Bar & Lounge seats 78.
Besides the new gaming areas, renovations include new bars and restaurants, including Rock & Brews, a rock music-themed restaurant by Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley of the band KISS.
Dominic Ortiz, CEO and general manager of Potawatomi Casino Hotel said: “It is our priority to bring our guests the next level of gaming, and do so in an inviting and entertaining atmosphere. Milwaukee has been receiving so much exciting attention and we want to make sure we are viewed as a premier entertainment destination, not just for those in the immediate area, but for people traveling to the city for business or a getaway.”
Ortiz says the project created 250 additional jobs to its workforce of more than 2,000 employees.
Forest County Potawatomi chairman James Crawford said: “We have partnered with some of the most amazing designers and contractors, such as Greenfire Management Services who have been at our side throughout this entire project. I want to personally thank our internal staff for all of their hard and ambitious work, and to our guests for their patience and trust that we were going to deliver an amazing entertainment experience for them.”
The $190m project spans 114,000 square feet and began in May 2022. The final phase of renovations is currently underway to transform the old theatre into a sportsbook, scheduled to open next year.
