Swiss casino operator appoints igaming chiefs

Stadtcasino Baden Group has appointed two new executives for its igaming brands.

Switzerland.- The casino operator Stadtcasino Baden Group has appointed executives to oversee its two igaming brands.

It has appointed Brian Christner as chief of online gaming for Grand Casino Baden, which operates Jackpots.ch, and Robert Kocher to oversee Casino Davos’s Casino777.

Christner, an IT specialist, worked as a systems engineer and support manager for International Game Technology (IGT) between 2000 and 2011.

He has since worked in cloud computing, with his own consultancy in the sector.

Grand Casino Baden was the first land-based casino to offer igaming in Switzerland when it launched Jackpots.ch in July 2019. It features live dealer content from Evolution Gaming.

Kocher has been appointed to oversee Casino777, the igaming offering operated by Casino Davos, which Stadtcasino Baden Group jointly owns with Belgium’s Ardent Group.

He has worked in the industry since 1998 and launched Gauselmann Group’s first online casino. 

Stadtcasino Baden Group has restructured over the past year, appointing  Christian Stegemann as chief financial officer and Michael Böni to replace Detlef Brose as chief executive

Böni said of the new appointments: “I am convinced that with [this] new crew I have found a coherent management team to take our ‘House of Entertainment’ into the future.”
