BetMGM becomes Kansas City Chiefs’ sports betting partner
BetMGM and the football team have signed a multi-year partnership that includes marketing and content promotions.
US.- BetMGM has signed a multi-year partnership to become one of the Kansas City Chiefs’ first sports betting partners. BetMGM will benefit from signage inside GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium, and its content will be featured across the football team’s digital channels. Special promotions will be offered, as well as game day experiences and prizes for fans and season ticket members.
BetMGM chief revenue officer Matt Prevost said: “With a rich history and a passionate fan base, the Kansas City Chiefs are an ideal partner. As we launch our sports betting platform in Kansas, we look forward to elevating the game day experience for Chiefs fans throughout the region.”
Chiefs president Mark Donovan added: “As an industry leader in the space, we are excited to welcome BetMGM to the Chiefs Kingdom. We have invested significant time and energy advocating for sports wagering legislation and today’s announcement is going to open the doors for our fans to add to their experience for the 2022 season and beyond.”
BetMGM was one of the first online sportsbooks to go live in Kansas after casinos began accepting wagers in person and on mobile platforms on September 1 in a soft launch. The full launch will be on September 8, the same day the NFL season starts.
DraftKings is another of the six online sportsbooks that launched in Kansas. The firm now announced that a retail sportsbook at Butler National Corporation’s Boot Hill Casino & Resort in Dodge City will open in October.
The casino will open a temporary sportsbook adjacent to the casino cage in the old high-limit area. It’s expected to open a permanent location in early 2023. Bettors will be able to watch games on TV and bet via kiosk. Tickets will be able to be redeemed at the casino cage.
MGM Resorts and BetMGM affirm commitment to Responsible Gaming Education Month
MGM Resorts and BetMGM are taking part in the American Gaming Association (AGA)‘s inaugural Responsible Gaming Education Month throughout September. MGM will focus on consumer education, community collaboration and enhanced employee training and will share responsible gaming information on social media channels.
Garrett Farnes, director of responsible gaming at MGM Resorts, said: “We are proud to participate in RGEM 2022 and to let it serve as an additional platform to promote player health, as well as to increase awareness in the communities where we operate.”
