Winnipeg casinos distribute face masks to customers
Provincial authorities have decided to give out KN95 face masks at casinos and Liquor Marts due to a rise in Covid-19 cases.
Canada.- Due to a rise in the Covid-19 cases, the government of the Canadian province of Manitoba has partnered with Manitoba Liquor & Lotteries (MBLL) to make KN95 face masks available for free at casinos in Winnipeg as well as at Manitoba Liquor Marts.
Reg Helwer, minister of central services, said: “Wearing a mask has been shown to be very effective in preventing the spread of COVID. KN95 masks have been shown to be more effective than cloth or procedure masks, as they fit better and provide a higher level of filtration,” he said.
The masks will be available at Winnipeg liquor stores and Manitoba Liquor & Lotteries-operated casinos starting today (December 23), and at liquor stores across Manitoba after Christmas.
