West Virginia’s sports betting market to get expanded
Two more casinos in the state are expected to add sports betting services to their offering.
US.- West Virginia Lottery Director John Myers has revealed that two more casinos will offer sports betting services soon. The state’s casinos continue to seek new ways to increase revenue, and sports betting is currently one of the best options.
“During the last month, we have begun sports gaming at the Mountaineer Casino on November 20,” Myers said. “We’ve completed testing Delaware North, which includes both Mardi Gras and Wheeling Island casinos on November 19. Both of those locations will have the mobile app when they begin receiving wagers,” he told members of the Lottery Commission.
All five casinos in the state have already paid the US$100k fee for a licence to offer sports betting, but not all of them currently offer the modality. That fee is required annually.
Moreover, as reported by the State Journal, Myers announced that the Lottery launched a mobile convenience app that assists customers with finding a place to buy tickets for traditional lottery games.
