The British National Lottery has announced a giveaway to celebrate the return of cinemas to the UK after a long closure due to Covid-19 lockdowns.

UK.- The National Lottery will celebrate the return of cinema and entertainment in the UK with an agreement to deliver free cinema tickets to lottery players.

Hundreds of free cinema tickets will be available to movie fans this weekend. Some 500 cinemas are taking part in the scheme.

How does the scheme work?

Players will be able to use any National Lottery ticket, instant win game or scratchcard bought online or in retail to claim a free pair of tickets.

The event is taking place in partnership with the British Film Institute (BFI).

Edith Bowman, broadcaster and spokesperson for the campaign, said: “As someone who loves the experience of watching films with other people, I’ve missed going to the cinema massively over this past year.”
