Alfastreet: “The reaction to our products was great”
Focus Gaming News in an exclusive interview with Alfastreet, learnt the company’s final appraisal on ICE Totally Gaming 2016.
The Slovenian specialist developer of multi-player technological gaming products shined with its performance at the biggest international trade show. Sales Director Albert Radman, in representation of Alfastreet, provided us with his insight of the event.
How does Alfastreet feel about 2016’s edition of ICE?
From our point of view it was really satisfying, the attendance and the reaction to our products was great, and we think there was an optimistic atmosphere all over the show, with the industry on a positive trend, continuing from last year. The organisation was flawless, but we are getting accustomed to that.
What is Alfastreet’s assessment regarding the event?
It is a sign of the year to come and for us it is a great start indeed. Our friends and customers were very happy with the performance of the product range and immediately identified the potential of the novelties and prototypes. We have brought home enough orders to fill our production capabilities for the upcoming months, but most importantly, the company has been able to continue on a rising trend from the last couple of years.
Taking into account the number of Alfastreest’s releases, what was the response from the audience?
This year’s booth was packed with novelties, from a brand new Live roulette wheel to the Alfastreet slot series with both slot games and virtual titles, passing through the updated roulette cabinets, represented by the compact R5 and the imposing R8, which has been equipped with a very attractive superstructure solution. The privacy cabinet called “Alibi box” has been a huge hit with the operators, although it took them a while to figure it out, and they were quite impressed by the new online/mobile gaming solution, based on our user interface. As you can imagine the most attractive machine of the show, was the “Wet race” prototype, showing the implementation of the Royal Derby platform. Both machines were packed with audience throughout the exhibition duration, showing that people still prefer entertaining mechanical solutions over a completely digital products.
Royal Derby is one of the key products from your portfolio. Can you tell us about the improvements the company has made on it?
The Royal Derby has reached a very high level of technical reliability in a reasonably short period, proving itself on the gaming venues all over the world. That enabled the application of some additional technical solutions, what make it even more appealing to the players and the operators. You have seen the moving camera in the center of the stadium, monitoring the developments of the races, getting a genuine feel of a live race – the live feed can be send to different sources, making it a valid option for different location, such as sports betting shops, lotteries, etc-. We have been working a lot on the user interface, making it customisable to a specific market or even player’s ability. The 2016 models come with two superstructure options, both seen on the show, the lower one that enables easier interaction between players and a higher one that makes for a casino centerpiece with high spikes, beautiful lighting solutions and internal stadium style monitors.
What are the company’s business targets for this year?
That’s no secret, we want to continue where we left off in 2015, further improving our market share worldwide -which is happening as we speak with important agreements for the Latin American countries and the US. Asia has always been an Alfastreet stronghold and we are finally expanding to the Australian market this year. With all this in mind we take good care of our established markets, for example the Northern Europe, where the big hit is undeniably the Royal Derby.
