Soboba casino is near inauguration
Soboba Band of Luiseno Indians is near the inauguration of a new casino in California.
US.- The Soboba Band of Luiseno Indians has held this week a pre-inauguration event celebrating the upcoming casino in California. The ceremony was held last Monday and authorities lifted white beams containing the signatures of tribal members, casino employees and construction workers to the top of the frame of the six-story hotel.
The 84.000 square feet facility will feature more than 2000 slots and approximately 25 faming tables. The venue will also offer a 200-room hotel as well as a 15.000 square feet conference center, food outlets, a sports bar and a spa and fitness center among other things. A statement from the tribe said that the improved facility promises to capitalise on what the tribe already has by adding more amenities such as a hotel, shops and an entertainment venue.
“This is one of the significant milestones of the whole construction project,” Soboba Tribal Administrator Michael Castello said. “We’re trying to landmark all of these special milestones. It’s special to be able to have the tribal members sign their names on something that will be up for decades.”
“We are finally seeing the results of a vision we have had for several years,” longtime Tribal Council member Rose Salgado said. “We are forever grateful to past councils and elders that persevered for the future of our tribe. Now this new facility will have the oversight of new generations to come.”
