Slot machine revenue up in Pennsylvania

The gaming regulator said that casino slot machine revenue increased 0.5% in September.

US.- The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board (PGCB) posted on its website on Tuesday the monthly report for total revenue generated from the play of slot machines at casinos during September 2018.

According to the report, September’s gross revenue from slot machines at the 12 casinos was US$196 million, a 0.5% increase in revenue when compared to the US$195 million generated in September 2017. Tax revenue in September of this year was US$102 million.

The average number of slot machines operating on a daily basis was 25,471 during September 2018, 500 less machines when compared to the 25,971 at the casinos in September 2017.

Parx Casino totalled the highest amount of slot machine revenue in the state as it reached US$33.9 million, which is a 4.6% change when compared to last year. It was followed by Sands Casino Resort Bethlehem, as the facility totalled US$24.2 million, but it represents a 2.4% decrease when compared to the US$24.8 million registered in 2017.

The casino with the biggest revenue increase from slot machines was Valley Forge Casino Resort, which totaled a 9.5% increase from US$8.7 million in September 2017 to US$9.9 million in 2018.
