Sacramento casino gets a revamp

The Thunder Valley Casino Resort is on schedule to complete its US$56 million upgrade works in the next few months.

US.- Operators of the Thunder Valley Casino Resort in Sacramento gave members of the media a tour of its facility as its revamp work nears completion. The US$56 million project will be completed in its entirety by July 1st as several sections of the casino continue to open in the next few weeks.

The remodelling includes a 25,000 square feet brand new poker room and a 13,000 square feet bingo hall, both of which are 100 per cent smoke-free. There is also an expansion to 7,000 square feet of the current poker room which is set to offer high-limit slot gaming. The latter will have 27 tables and convention space to provide as many as 45 tables when larger tournament events are scheduled. Deadlines were set for next March 1st for the poker room and April 1st for the bingo hall.

According to officials, the high limit slot machines area is set to be ready by July 1st, while the 17-story hotel has already been completed. However, it will now undergo a series of construction upgrades for luxury suites that will include a 2,100 square feet suite.
