Pennsylvania igaming market sees another record month
Of the total revenues from igaming in January, slots accounted for the highest proportion.
US.- The igaming market in Pennsylvania has set a new monthly record for the seventh consecutive month.
Online gambling revenues reached $80.4m in January 2021, beating December 2020’s record of $71.6m while rising 476.1 per cent from January 2020.
Online slots accounted for the largest proportion of the total revenue at $51.0m. Online table games came in second at $26.7m followed by online poker revenue with $2.7m.
The operator which reeled in the most was Penn National Gaming’s Hollywood Casino with $27.6m. It offers DraftKings as well as its own brand.
Looking specifically at sports betting, sportsbooks earned $34m, a slight decrease from December 2020, but up year-on-year.
This month, the state reported a handle of $53.6m for the 2021 Super Bowl, representing an increase of 74 per cent compared to last year’s event.
