Nugget Casino changed owners

The Nevada casino and resort’s selling process ended last Friday. The facility will keep its name.

US.- Marnell Gaming finished the purchase of the Nugget Casino Resort in Nevada last Friday. It is expected now that the gaming venue will be renovated in the next months. “This is a long-term investment opportunity for us. The Nugget is an iconic property in a great location and we hope to be here for many years,” said Anthony Marnell III, chairman and CEO of the company.

New owners plan to invest over US$25 million in revamping both the property’s towers and in its convention centre. The 1,000 slots machines will be relocated in an improved casino. Currently, the building features 1,400 rooms, a 75,000-square-foot casino, a meeting space, eight restaurants, indoor atrium pool and more. Renovations will be ended over the next 18 to 24 months.

“We are ready to quickly invest the capital needed to take the Nugget Casino Resort to the top of its game. I couldn’t be more excited to be a part of the northern Nevada community,” added the CEO. Marnell Gaming will offer to members of the Nugget’s players club all benefits from the corporate-wide players club that will launch later this year. Furthermore, current Nugget Advantage Rewards members will retain their benefits and status.
