No licence request for Beijing Imperial Palace

The facility has been closed for more than a year and the MGTO said that no licence request has been filed yet.

Macau.- The Macao Government Tourism Office (MGTO) has confirmed that the closed Beijing Imperial Palace Hotel hasn’t requested an application for a new licence yet. The facility has been closed for more than a year, while the gaming facility inside stopped its operations more than two years ago.

Maria Helena de Senna Fernandes, director of the MGTO, said: “We only got the information [about the Beijing Imperial Palace Hotel] through media reports. Until now we haven’t received any new information and we haven’t received any application to licence a hotel or any other establishment inside that venue.”

Beijing Imperial Palace has been shuttered for more than a year as it surrendered its licence to Macau’s government, while the Casino Greek Mythology, the gambling facility inside, has been out of action for more than two years.
