Mississippi Lottery launches new games
The Mississippi Lottery Corporation launched four new scratch-off games that may award players with up to US$100k in prize money.
US.- As of this week, lottery users in the state may as well bet on some of their new possibilities. The Mississippi Lottery Corporation (MLC) launched four new scratch-off games with major prize money.
Double Doubler: costs US$1 to play and can award up to US$4k. Odds are 1:4.93 and there are 24 grand prizes.
Payday: costs US$2 to play and may award up to US$25k. Odds are 1:4.59 and there are six grand prizes.
Cash Money: costs US$5 to play and can award up to US$100k. Odds are 1:3.96 and there are five grand prizes.
Diamond Dazzler: costs US$5 to play and may award up to US$100k. Odds are 1:3.98 and there are five grand prizes.
Lottery sales
The Mississippi Lottery Corporation has revealed that people in the state bought around US$2.5 million in lottery tickets on the first day of sales, back in November. According to the corporation, the US$2.5 million translates into US$570k for the state.
Tickets went on sale around 5 am on Monday at 1,200 retailers in 80 of Mississippi’s 82 counties. The performance of the Mississippi Lottery exceeded expectations, Tom Shaheen, president of the lottery said.
The first US$80 million in proceeds generated by the lottery will go to the state infrastructure. Any revenue after that will go to the state education fund, the Mississippi Lottery said.
