Macau Legend lays the foundation stone in Cape Verde

Macau Legend Development Ltd started the construction of its new casino resort in Cape Verde.

Cape Verde.- Casino developer and operator Macau Legend, started the construction of its US$283-million casino resort, in the African country. The company runs two casinos in Macau peninsula: Babylon Casino and Pharaoh’s Palace Casino.

Cape Verde government granted Macau Legend a 25-year casino concession and “an exclusive nationwide operation of online gaming, physical and online sports betting,” for 10 years from the start of its operations. David Chow Kam Fai, co-chairman and chief executive of Macau Legend hosted the ceremony along with Cape Verde’s Prime Minister, José Maria Neves.

“This project will allow tourism in Cape Verde to reach new heights,” said Neves. “This project is another pillar for the development and transformation of Cape Verde.”

The Cape Verde resort will feature luxury hotels, a casino, a convention centre and a marina ant it will be located in Praia, the capital city of Cape Verde, on Santiago Island.
