JOCS to vouch for Andorra casino

The company JOCS received a setback in its plans for the Andorra casino, but will protest against the decision of the CRAJ.

Andorra.- JOCS SA was the winner of the bidding process for the Andorra La Vieja casino. Despite being the winner, it faced endless legal obstacles since receiving the confirmation of the bid.

In spite of everything, the company went ahead with its plans and even received good news from the justice. However, the Game Regulatory Council in Andorra (CRAJ) dealt a heavy blow last week: the authority decided not to grant JOCS the operating license of the Andorra casino. Its decision is due to inconsistencies between the company’s plans and the execution of the works.

However, JOCS has already revealed that it rejects the arguments of the CRAJ and that it will appeal its decision.

The decision

The Andorran Gaming Regulatory Council (CRAJ) determined not to grant the operating license to the winning company. As they explained, the breach of the plans proposed during the execution of the work triggered the decision.

Moreover, the CRAJ explained that there are still significant differences between the initial commitments from JOCS and the final project that was actually presented to them.
