Isleta Resort & Casino begins renovation

This will be the first major renovation since the Albuquerque facility open seventeen years ago.

US.- Isleta Resort & Casino has started the US$40 million renovations announced earlier this month. Whilst the main entrance of the facility is already under construction, the project is expected to take 18 to 24 months, as reported by KOB4.

Harold Baugus, CEO of Isleta, said that they will feature a new room dedicated exclusively to Bingo: “One of the problems that we have is every 2 weeks we have to shut down Bingo to have a concert. It’s not really a good function, not really a good process. So for our bingo guests, we are going to have a state of the art 500-seat Bingo area.” The concert venue will also go under renovations.

A quarter of those US$40 million will go directly to changing the air system, which sometimes gets caught up with smoke. “We should or will have the best overall gaming environment as far as smoking facility in Albuquerque. That’s US$10 million just to fix the air conditioners.” Baugus added that their guests don’t just go there to play slot machines and gamble, but they also have good food and beverage experiences, and a good entertainment option. Moreover, he said that their guests “have a good stay at our resort experience, so its an overall experience.” The entire project will be finalised in 18 to 24 months.
