Illegal gambling raids conducted in Georgia

Georgian authorities executed four search warrants in Houston County and arrested four men over gambling laws violations.

US.- The authorities executed four search warrants in the state of Georgia and hit an illegal gambling operation. The Georgia Bureau of Investigation Commercial Gambling Unit raided several buildings in Houston County for violations of Georgia’s commercial gambling laws and arrested four men connected to illegal gambling.

The Georgia Lottery Corporation and the Georgia Department of revenue issued search warrants at three businesses and a home. Regulators were aided by the Warner Robins Police Department, which executed the orders and apprehended the four men from three businesses and a home.

From the raids, agents collected evidence related to crimes of commercial gambling and impounded monetary assets that were gained from illegal gambling machines.

The authorities explained that all business locations are licenced to operate Coin-Operated Amusement Machines. However, during the investigation, they discovered customers were receiving cash payouts for winning credits, which may only be redeemed for lottery tickets or store merchandise.
