ICE 2016: Gambling Business Group chosen as host
Chief Executive: “The Gambling Business Group and its members, all of whom are either exhibitors at or visitors to ICE, are delighted to once again be able to host the DCMS at international gaming’s flagship event.”
UK.- February 2 to 4 will bring an extraordinary amount of activities for gaming industry. In ExCel, London, the ICE 2016 will be carried out with 510 exhibitors and live conferences. In the case of Gambling Business Group (GBG), they will host senior members of Gambling Team from the Department of Culture, Media & Sport (DCMS).
As they work with government regulators, Peter Hannibal, Chief Executive, points out how important it is that “the UK industry engages with DCMS to ensure they have as much information as possible before instigating or approving any changes and ICE is the world’s premier showcase for gaming and the best opportunity to facilitate this interaction.” And in order to achieve that, it is very relevant that the DCMS takes it time to understand and investigate the “full implications of many proposed changes, including any potential unintended consequences.”
GBG members account for approaching 70 percent of UK Gross Gaming Yield, so Kate Chambers, Managing Director responsible for ICE, commented: “We have always set out to work with the many sectors of gaming to help achieve their strategic objectives. The Gambling Business Group, led by Peter Hannibal, is one of a number of respected industry bodies that we work alongside and I look forward to welcoming the Gambling Team from the DCMS to ICE next week.”
