“Comtrade Gaming prides itself on sustainable growth”
(Exclusive interview).- Aleš Gornjec, founder of the Comtrade Group’s gaming division and Comtrade Gaming’s General Manager, talked with Focus Gaming News ahead of today’s show.
The biggest event of the industry is only a few hours away and companies are ready to showcase their products to the entire world. Comtrade Gaming will be one of the key exhibitors of the show, which takes place at ExCel London.
Aleš Gornjec, founder of the Comtrade Group’s gaming division and Comtrade Gaming’s General Manager, talked with Focus Gaming News about what the public can expect from the company’s booth at ICE London, which starts tomorrow and continues until February 7.
The online casino industry has benefited from Comtrade’s sCore product line. Is the company preparing new technology in 2019?
Comtrade Gaming is striving towards innovation and new challenges. We have devoted a lot of our time and effort in preparing an outstanding business intelligence architecture that is performing really well and is assisting operators to create an environment that delivers the best possible responsible player experience on any given channel.
As an exhibitor of ICE London, Comtrade will be part of one of the biggest events of the gaming industry. Can you give us a preview of your performance?
We will be launching as mentioned before the latest business intelligence architecture that is integrated with both iCore and sCore product family. Highlighting how value through a high degree of real-time retention strategies, enabled by predictive analytics can be created.

There are further updates to our sophisticated bonusing gamification feature – Award Games. Predictive analytics assists the operator to plan, launch and personalise individual promotions, communicate specific messages and award their players before, during and after gameplay.

Comtrade enjoyed 2018 full of expansion and new partnerships. What were the highlights of 2018? What are the general plans for 2019?
Last year’s Dafabet extension and Superbet migration stories were definitely the highlights of 2018. Dafabet continues to show their trust into Comtrade’s Gaming technical expertise by delivering products that meet their priorities and standards. Superbet migration was a major challenge for us as there was a very aggressive deadline but Comtrade Gaming delivers outstanding work on time.

The online casino segment and sports betting have been showing exponential growth in the past months. What is Comtrade’s position in this overall industry growth?
Ever since US regulated sports betting we see a lot of potential for gaming there, but we should not neglect Europe. There are a few markets in Europe where new regulations are opening. Poland is one example where we are acting as a technical partner for new licensees.

What is your evaluation of the sports betting industry for the upcoming year?
We expect growth of the sports betting industry in many different markets but product offering being more linked to the mobile channel. Usage of mobile gaming has been increasing rapidly over the past few years, we also believe that it will replace desktop players in the future.
