US.- The Chinook Winds Casino Resort in Lincoln City is expected to remain closed until August 26 due to concerns about the Delta variant of Covid-19. The shutdown covers the gaming floors, hotel, restaurants and the golf course.

Several events are affected, including stand up comedy shows and the Surf City Oregon Coast Customs Car Show. Chinook Winds will refund all room fees and entertainment tickets.

General Manager Michael S. Fisher said: “Despite the progress we have made to vaccinate our team, their families, and the community, increases in cases in the county and state have led us to make the difficult decision to close our operations until August 26.

“We will pay our team members through this two-week closure. We look forward to welcoming our guests and team members back as soon as it’s safe to do so”.
