Casinos in Ohio continue upward trend
Gambling facilities in Ohio showed a strong gambling revenue growth during March operations.
US.- The Ohio Casino Control Commission released its monthly report showing good progress for casinos’ gambling revenue during March operations. Casinos posted US$81.7 million last month, a 7.7 per cent increase from the US$75.4 million achieved during the same period in 2017.
Racinos slot revenue also increased 9.2 per cent, from US$87.5 million to US$96.4 million. Analysts believe that the increase was due to an extra weekend in 2018 compared to 2017, as well as good weather in Ohio that allowed casinos to increase its visitation numbers. Nevertheless, the casino industry in Ohio has been on an upward trend for a few months, and it seems it will continue this way.
Jack Cleveland Casino has achieved revenue of US$20.1 million during March’s operations, a yearly increase of 10.4 per cent, while The Jack Thistledown Racino has recorded US$12 million in revenue. The Hard Rock Rocksino Northfield Park has totalled US$23.3 million in slot intake, a growth of 8.1 per cent from the US$21.4 million reported in March 2017.
