Casino in Auburn to undergo major expansion
The Muckleshoot Casino in Auburn will undergo a major expansion and will add 10k square feet of gaming space among other things.
US.- The gaming industry continues to expand in the US and current operators aim to update their offerings. In the case of the Muckleshoot Casino in Auburn, its operators plan to conduct a major expansion work to attract more tourism to the area.
The Muckleshoot Tribe operates the venue, located in south King County, and announced the expansion is underway. “This will be like the fifth or sixth expansion of the property in 24 years,” said General Manager Conrad Granito. “We’ve tried to provide people what they want, whether it be in gaming, in entertainment, or restaurant choices.”
The executive explained the tribe will add 10k square feet of gaming space and a new event centre. “We’re adding a 20k foot event centre, and it will be multi-use. We’ll have concerts, we’ll have MMA, we’ll have all types of events available.”
Granito says these days gambling is just one aspect of the Auburn casino. Customers also want entertainment. “The economic impact of Indian gaming, not just for Muckleshoot but for the state of Washington, is immense,” he said.
