BMIT launches data centre and private network

The new centre is located in SmartCity, Malta, and the new private network will provide very high speed connectivity to customers.

Malta.- BMIT, the leading provider of cloud and managed IT services and data centres, announced the opening of its new centre in Malta and the launching of a new exclusive and secure private network which will provide its customers with very high speed connectivity and excellent performance on the Internet.

The new data centre is built up to Tier 3 specifications through a turnkey implementation contracted to Emerson Power, boosting innovative cooling systems, which guarantee improved performance and an extended range of services.

The new international network, which links BMIT’s locations in Malta to its newly-launched points of presence in Italy and Germany will initially provides 40Gbps connectivity to the Internet, via two leading Tier 1 global providers – Level 3 and TeliaSonera.
