Betfred launches new marketing campaign with Michael Buffer
The American boxing and wrestling ring announcer will appear in a spot for TV and digital channels.
UK.- Betfred has launched a new marketing campaign featuring legendary ring announcer Michael Buffer. The American boxing and wrestling icon will appear in a spot on TV and digital channels for the British bookmaker as part of its ‘Let’s Get Ready to Rumble’ ad campaign.
The campaign launches on Sky and BT Sport, with a minute-long version available on Betfred’s YouTube channel. With the iconic 2 Unlimited 90s dance track Get Ready for This as its soundtrack, the commercial was produced by Zut Media based in Liverpool.
Zut’s Creative Director Matt Thompson said: “Michael is the world’s biggest and best-known sporting announcer, who better to choose to star in a campaign that celebrates sport and those special spine-tingling moments it creates.”
Buffer commented: “What I love about Betfred is that Fred is a sports fan and so passionate. He loves the action just like me. I love sports, the thrill of victory and the agony of defeat is what keeps you going and Betfred is involved in so many sports. That’s why it’s a great relationship.”
Betfred has produced a safer gambling advert, which also features Buffer, dedicating 20 per cent of all airtime to a safer gambling campaign.
