Betfair US signs sports betting partnerships
The US division of Paddy Power Betfair has entered into sports betting partnerships in New Jersey and New York.
US.- Betfair US, the American division of Paddy Power Betfair, has revealed that it has entered into a sports betting partnership with racetracks in New Jersey and New York. The company will provide a full suite of sports betting products to Meadowlands Racetrack in New Jersey and Tioga Downs in New York.
The agreement signed by Betfair US establishes that it includes retail, online and mobile services. While both states have yet to legalise sports betting, they’re actively in talks to regulate the activity. New Jersey’s legislature passed last week the bill that regulates and taxes sports betting, and is now waiting for Governor Phil Murphy’s signature to come into force.
Kip Levin, chief executive of Betfair US, said: “We could not be more excited to partner with Jeff Gural and his partners for sports betting in New Jersey and New York. Meadowlands Racetrack has the potential to be among the best, if not the best, sports betting venues in the US.
“Combining these premier facilities with the global sports betting prowess of Paddy Power Betfair is a great match and will enable us to bring an unparalleled sports betting experience to customers in the northeast.”
