BCLC soon to decide on Delta casino

The Delta Cascades Casino project may be close to a final decision by BC’s regulator, which is expected to approve the venue.

Canada.- Another casino is set to arrive in Canada’s British Columbia as the province’s regulator may soon rule on a new project. The Delta Cascades Casino, to be developed by Gateway Casinos & Entertainment Ltd, is expected to open in the Delta Town & Country Inn, following what seems to be a formality ready to be confirmed before the boreal winter.

The British Columbia Lottery Corporation needs to give the company the approval after the Delta council also gave its consent. It is expected that there won’t be any hurdles ahead as the BCLC has previously stated its support for Gateway’s €47 million casino-hotel as it considers it consistent with its vision for such a facility.

Following the anticipated approval, the old hotel will be demolished in order to make way for a much newer and up to date venue. The complex will include a gaming floor with 500 slots and 24 tables, meeting space, a 116-room hotel and further amenities scheduled to open late in 2020.
