Yossi Abadi, inspiring the entire industry with the importance of social responsibility
Yossi Abadi, CEO of Tenlot Group, shared a speech at the SBC Summit Latin America.
Last weekend, the SBC Summit Latin America, which brought together important international leaders of the gaming industry, came to a close in Miami. The conference featured representatives from governments and industry leaders.
The event has brought together the best industry experts and opinion leaders to share their views. A speech that received considerable attention at the event was that of Mr Yossi Abadi, CEO of Tenlot Group. Under the title “The Gaming Industry between Social Responsibility, Profitability and Regulatory Compliance“, Abadi generated special interest by inspiring the industry with a topic too little talked about, namely social responsibility.
Abadi, who was recently listed by Forbes Magazine as “The most recognized Israeli in Central America” and “One of the opinion leaders in Latin America for his social vision,” emphasized the importance of social responsibility within a competitive environment in the industry.
“Social responsibility in our sector is key to maintaining its legitimacy in the long term!”, he said. “I say it with pride: what differentiates our operation from others is the correlation between our success and our social contributions in the countries in which we operate,” he added.
Referring to the sector’s regulatory authorities, Abadi said: “Regulators have to support profitable operations that attract investment, but at the same time contribute to society. Over-taxation in some jurisdictions can kill operations, while adequate taxation regimes allow strengthening the industry, its social mission and credibility in the long term.”
The speech, which left its impact even in successive panels, left open a topic that mostly loses out to more popular topics. “Humanitarian aid, social support to communities, should not be considered as an expense, but as an investment: an economic and moral investment. It is part of the natural development that any company should be carrying out,” reiterated Abadi.
