“We are open to all ideas at G2E”
(Exclusive interview).- Focus Gaming News talked to BetConstruct’s US Regional Director Jonathan Aiwazian ahead of the new edition of G2E 2018.
US.- As the upcoming edition of G2E Las Vegas is just around the corner, operators from all over the world are preparing to be part of one of the most important events of the industry. Jonathan Aiwazian, US Regional Director of BetConstruct, talked to Focus Gaming News about the company’s booth at the event, as well as possible new targets for the near future.
What can the public expect from BetConstruct’s booth at the new edition of G2E Las Vegas?
Our booth will put our flagship sportsbook product on full display, while also showing off our other spectacular fantasy sports, social gaming, live casino, Bookie App, and others. We are open to all ideas, no matter how big or small they may seem, so people who have a vision for the future of sportsbook or gaming can stop by to have a chat and see if we can help to bring their vision to reality.
BetConstruct is one of the leading brands at international level, which role does G2E play in the development of the company? Does the company also target new markets at G2E besides the American?
G2E is a critical part of the yearly roadmap for BetConstruct. Besides attracting new partners from the collection of industry leaders and up-and-comers, we are able to strengthen existing partnerships and propel growth. G2E has a reputation for attracting not just domestic business, but comoanies from all over the globe. With offices in 16 countries and partners in over 50 countries, BetConstruct sends experts with local knowledge of European, Asian, Latin American, and African markets to G2E because there is potential for all markets to come knocking.

Does BetConstruct expect to find something new at G2E Las Vegas now that there has been recent changes in the sports betting industry?
We expect to find a new sense of opporunity among the exhibitors and attendees. The opening of the US market, even though gradual at first, represents an immense opportunity for everyone in the industry, from data providers to technology providers to land based operators and beyond. Everyone is excited, and everyone is looking to make great partnerships to accelerate their entry into the market.
As the American gaming market is getting updated after the ban lift, how is BetConstruct analysing new opportunities within the US market? Do you think the legalisation will affect casino-focused companies in the long run? Or would it open new doors?
As BetConstruct is a veteran of the online gaming industry, we have a history of expanding into new markets. Each time we identify a new market ready to be entered, we take a bird’s eye view of the market and identify the most efficient path to get a foothold in the market. The US market is no different, and we have a unique strategy for becoming a leader in the US that will soon be seen towards the fourth quarter of 2018 and first quarter of 2019.
BetConstruct Sportsbook provides industry-leading coverage of a number of live matches and pre-match events every month. Do you expect the legalisation of the sports betting industry in the US to influence the rest of the continent? Is the company preparing new developments in the region?
As we have done in the US, BetConstruct will continue to stay active in following the latest legislation as it progresses from ideas to law. We are happy to sit with legislators in the US or any jurisdiction to help educate and give our opinion on how the regulators and operators and suppliers can work hand in hand (in hand) to bring about laws that encourage growth and innovation while protecting consumers.

BetConstruct has attended several gaming events in all continents this year, which one is the most profitable for the company and is there a reason in particular for that?
At BetConstruct, our primary focus when attending expos and gaming events is not profit. We like to be at as many events as possible because it gives our partners a chance to sit down with us face to face and discuss their ideas and plans. Of course the largest events bring the most opportunity, but we have also found great partnerships attending smaller events with only a few dozen attendees. By being present, there is always a chance for an opportunity to present itself.
