Washington DC sports betting handle reaches $21.4m in November
Sports betting handle was down $24.8m from October.
US.- Washington DC sports betting handle reached $21.4m in November, level with the amount bet in November 2021 but down 13.7 per cent compared to the $24.8m recorded in October of 2022.
Gross gaming revenue was $2.7m. There are five operators active in the state. In November, Caesars kept the top spot with $919,830 in revenue from $7.4m in total bets. Gambet, operated by the DC Lottery and powered by Intralot, posted $843,518 in revenue of $6.6m in handle.
Flutter Entertainment’s FanDuel, which runs a retail sportsbook at Major League Soccer team DC United’s Audi Field, recorded $408,389 in revenue and a $1.9m handle.
BetMGM, which operates via a partnership with the MLB team. the Washington Nationals, posted $384,554 in revenue despite taking more bets ($5.1m) than FanDuel. Grand Central Bar, which offers sports betting in the district in partnership with Elys Game Technology, registered $85,402 in revenue of $479,066 in the monthly handle.
Recently, Elys Game Technology entered a joint venture with Cloakbook to open a Washington DC sportsbook. The firm received an official grant from the District of Columbia’s Office of Lottery and Gaming (DCOLG) for a standard Class B joint venture sports wagering operator licence.
