US college to offer casino dealer courses
Westmoreland County Community College in Pennsylvania will offer courses to train dealers in the summer.
US.- Casino dealer courses will be offered in Westmoreland County Community College, Pennsylvania, as of August.
The Dealer School courses are intended to train table dealers and will include classes on blackjack and other banked card games, but also carnival games such as three-card poker and Ultimate Texas Hold’em.
The courses will be sponsored by Live! Casino, which is planning to open a new casino at Westmoreland Mall in Hempfield.
Courses will begin on August 17 and will respect Covid-19 protocols with social distancing measures in place and mandatory use of face masks.
According to WCCC, students must be aged at least 18. Candidates should have basic maths skills and will have to pass drug and background checks. They will also need to hold a licence from the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board.
Graduates will be able to apply for a job at any Pennsylvania casino.
