Trump considers building a casino in Las Vegas
Even though Trump’s presidential campaign is in full swing, the firm continues with business as usual.
US.- According to Phil Ruffin, one of Donald Trump’s business partners and Eric Trump, the candidate’s son, there are expansion plans which are being considered at the moment in Las Vegas.
Phil Ruffin hopes to build a US$100 million casino next to the luxury high-rise Trump Hotel, which the two co-own on the Strip in Las Vegas. He expects the plans on the projected casino to accelerate this year and he said that the Trump Organization would own 50 percent of the gambling facility. At this point though, there are no architectural renderings or land surveys.
On its part, Eric Trump admitted the creation of new facilities has been discussed and these plans include the casino and a new convention space, although the family is currently focusing on his father’s presidential campaign and the development of other hotels.
The younger Trump did say that the Trumps would back Ruffin’s casino project. “If he wanted to do [the casino], we would certainly do it,” said Trump. “He one of our closest friends. We’re almost inseparable.”
