“Exhibiting at G2E is definitely one of our highlights of the year”

(Exclusive interview).- Tracey Chernay, Senior Vice President, Global Casino and Gaming at TransAct, talked to Focus Gaming News after G2E Las Vegas.

G2E Las Vegas is one of the biggest events of the industry, and the largest in the US. As one of the most important operators in the world, TransAct was part of the event, which took place last month in Las Vegas.

Tracey Chernay, Senior Vice President, Global Casino and Gaming at TransAct, talked to Focus Gaming News in an exclusive interview to share the public reaction to the new Epicentral® 4.0 promotion and bonusing print system. Chernay also talked about this year’s event and plans for the rest of 2019.

At this year’s G2E Las Vegas, you introduced the new Epicentral® 4.0 promotion and bonusing print system. Before the show, you told us you were confident that operators would be impressed with the product, how is your assessment of the public’s reaction during the event? Do you expect Epicentral® 4.0 to be as successful as previous versions?

We are pleased to say that our clients and business contacts gave us wonderful feedback on the latest iteration of Epicentral. Attendees commented positively on its newly designed user interface, which makes it easier than ever to create promotions and keep track of progress with promotions. Many were also happy to see that Epicentral is now web-based, which makes the software system easier to install, update and keep secure.

Epicentral is on a league of its own, as it’s the only software system in the industry that allows casinos to engage with customers in real-time with custom-designed coupons and offers for carded and uncarded players. Version 4.0 will only continue to make Epicentral the latest and best option for casinos to extend time-on-device, increase player spend and improve customer loyalty. Combined with the software enhancements we expect Epicentral to be more successful than ever in delivering results for casinos.

Many were also happy to see that Epicentral is now web-based, which makes the software system easier to install, update and keep secure.

A few days before G2E you announced a partnership with the new CyberMax System to elevate Epicentral. You also told us that you were looking forward to establishing new partnerships at the show, can we expect more announcements before the end of the year?

We’re very optimistic about our new relationship with Acres 4.0 and expect to have many customer successes to share with you as we go to market with our combined offering.

TransAct is a leading company in the industry, what do you look for in other operators when deciding to set a new partnership?

At TransAct, we are very picky with who we choose to partner with, since our standards are high, and we only want to offer the best to our customers. First and foremost, we look for companies that share our vision, values and business ethics. We strive to provide the best quality, craftsmanship and innovative approaches to all products, so we make sure that partnerships help us achieve that. In addition, we look for operators that offer us unique resources that make us stand out from the pack while also mutually benefit both of us.

The partnership with Acres 4.0 allows Epicentral® 4.0 to leverage the higher level of real-time player data and play events. How important is to launch this product at G2E and, at the same time, show visitors what this partnership and CyberMax can do when displaying the product for the first time?

We were thrilled to announce our new partnership with CyberMax at G2E. G2E is the most prominent gaming show in the world, so we thought it would be fitting to present our products to as many attendees as possible.

At TransAct, we are very picky with who we choose to partner with, since our standards are high, and we only want to offer the best to our customers.

Displaying the partnership at G2E showed attendees how the combined power of Epicentral 4.0 and Acres 4.0 with Cybermax gives users more robust, timely and consistent data. This data provides operators more flexibility to create more promotions and reach a greater audience. The end results are more relevant and focused promotions, which maximize client retention.

After attending so many editions of G2E, what things would you consider made this year’s event different from the others? What does TransAct consider as the main benefits of participating in these events?

Exhibiting at G2E is definitely one of our highlights of the year, and this year was extra special for us because we launched Epicentral 4.0, an all-new gaming website (casinoandgamingsolutions.com) and newly designed collateral. All our hard work leading up to the show paid off because our clients and business contacts were very pleased with the results.

These events not only give us the opportunity to show our products, but most importantly, they allow us to meet with our clients face to face. We also take advantage to meet with casino operators to see how we can better enhance their work experience through our printers and software. 2019 proved to be a great success, and we look forward to doing it all over again in 2020!
