Tjasa Luin Peric, CEO of Alfastreet, shared his views regarding the upcoming GAT Expo and the importance of in-person events.

Exclusive interview.- Tjasa Luin Peric, CEO of Alfastreet, spoke with Focus Gaming News about the return to GAT Expo, Gaming & Technology. He also revealed the brand new products the company is planning to introduce at the event and why Alfastreet decided to cancel its attendance at ICE London 2022

Alfastreet will be present at GAT Expo, Gaming & Technology. What are your expectations regarding the upcoming event?

To our surprise, the Colombian market started in 2022 very strongly, with considerably increasing demand and very promising prospects for the coming months.

We have been present in Colombia for more than a decade now and were always attentive and aware of the full potential in our line of Electronic Table Games.

We worked steadily to improve and adapt our products to the local standards, and we kept our sales and service on a very high level. This inevitably brought results in our sales numbers, yet this year feels extra special.

We are expecting very high exposure and we are prepared to increase our footprint on this market.

“Alfastreet Colombia prepared everything related to this show and we are super excited to show the visitors everything that we can do.”

How important is it to be present at an in-person event like GAT Expo, Gaming & Technology?

Colombia in particular is the most important market of our Latin American countries. For Alfastreet, a show like GAT can be easily placed immediately behind the giants that are G2E and ICE.

The potential in Colombia is still growing and the players are very loyal to the Electronic Roulettes. All of this makes Colombia a perfect combination and therefore very important for Alfastreet business.

Are you planning to introduce new products at GAT Expo, Gaming & Technology?

We will present multiple additions to our existing product lines, with the focus on a new Jackpot that was specifically adjusted for the Colombian market. Also, we will present our latest version of the Remote Play software. This is a software package that allows you to play on ETG and the Live tables as well, from any mobile device and from inside the property or even from your own home.

This system is running very successfully in several locations in Asia and Europe, and it will very soon be launched in Africa as well.

In an increasingly competitive market, how do you stay ahead?

Staying ahead was our speciality for the last 30 years, and we believe we still have the recipe. We work very hard on our customer service, on our overall support and flexibility when it comes to fulfilling customers’ requests. Our system is fully customisable and we have an actual ability to do the customisations even for small projects.

“Our dedicated work, impeccable quality and extremely durable design have kept us ahead for this long and we are very confident this will not change in the future.”

Since the Covid-19 pandemic outbroke what needs do you perceive within the industry and the casino operators?

There are basically only two needs. One is more philosophical and the other is operational. When it comes to philosophy, All the industry just wishes to get back to ”normal”. Here, there is nothing significant

that we can actually do about this. We all wait and hope. Although, it looks like Covid-19 is quickly leaving us, only to be replaced with the war.

The operational one is the one that we can tackle, and that is the supply chain disruption. We have been facing infinite challenges when it comes to the supply of products and raw materials. Prices have increased considerably, along with delivery times.

It is very hard to plan your supply needs when a delivery time for an essential product is 12-14 months.

This is where we put lots of effort, to make sure we have adequate stock so we can provide our products in the same pre-Covid delivery time. We believe this is also one of the factors that will separate us from some of our competitors. Even though our products are currently in high demand, we made sure we keep the production line fully operational and our business is not being affected by all the issues with the supply chain.

Alfastreet has recently cancelled its attendance at ICE London 2022. What led you to make this decision. Which are the next events you will attend?

We cancelled ICE because we felt that the time is not yet right for a gaming show of this magnitude to be held in Europe. There are multiple travel restrictions still imposed and the rules and regulations are changing daily.

All this is making the possibility of full attendance at the show very unlikely. Besides, exhibiting at ICE is a major cost for a gaming company and when considering all these facts, we made our decision to skip this year.

The organiser was very understanding and they let us do this without any penalties. Our first major show will be at G2E Las Vegas, and we believe this will be the proper comeback of the global gaming shows.
