Blacklist in Switzerland gets bigger

The gambling regulator from Switzerland has added ten more operators to its blacklist.

Switzerland.- The gambling regulator from Switzerland continues with its initiative to improve operations in the country. As part of this attempt, it has added ten more gambling websites to its blacklist, which features unlicensed operators.

The first blacklist from Switzerland was published in September, and it included 65 operators in it. The new update marks the second time in which the Inter-Cantonal Lotteries and Betting Commission (Comlot), the local regulator, adds sites to the blacklist.

Some of the operators featured in this new update are coinbet24.com, cryptobet.com, bahingo178.com, Buff.bet, allsport365.com, winx24.com, solobet10.com, runbet.com and three Forzza sites.

Switzerland grants online extension to two casinos

The Federal Council decided to grant a licence extension to casinos in Berne and Interlaken, which are now authorised to conduct online casino games thanks to the Federal Gaming Board (ESBK) permit.

The gaming act, which came into effect on January 1, 2019, gives the 21 casinos in the country the chance to offer their games online. In order to do so, they need a concession extension, which is granted by the Federal Council.

The council has approved the requests of the Grand Casino Kursaal Bern AG and Casino Interlaken AG. Before launching their operations online, the ESBK rules establish that the authority needs to check the casinos’ offerings and then grant permission to individual games.

The first four concession extensions were granted by the Federal Council at its meeting on June 7.  Grand Casino Baden AG, Casino Davos AG, Grand Casino Lucerne AG and Casino Zürichsee AG received the licence extension after successful examination, and they all kicked off their operations between July 5 and September 9.
