Svenska Spel launches new campaign

The Swedish state-owned operator is preparing for the re-regulation of the local gaming market.

Sweden.- Svenska Spel has announced the launch of its newest campaign, which is set to help the company through the re-regulation process of the Swedish gaming market. “The world’s most Swedish gaming company” started on Monday and will be featured on television, online, digital screens and outdoor.

From the start of January 2019, the Swedish market will welcome a new gaming legislation that will allow foreign companies to apply for licences to offer games in the country. The company said that it welcomes the change and therefore prepared the campaign to go along with it.

Svenska Spel said that with the new regulations it finally gets to compete on equal terms in the gaming market, but that it wants to make sure that it differs from many other bookmakers. “All profits go back to the state and contribute to the community, we take social responsibility. With our brand new campaign we will show that it is important which company people choose,” said the company in a statement.

The campaign “The world’s most Swedish gaming company” focuses on state ownership, social responsibility and the importance of sports, which are some of the pillars of the company. “In concept, we want to show that we are a caring and inclusive bookmaker,” said Anna Fohlin, marketing manager at Svenska Spel.

“We have a unique position, which we will take with us into the new gaming market. We are clear to lift what we are good at and that we actually see things in a different way,” said Fohlin.
