DC Lottery adopts sports betting regulations
The body in charge of managing sports betting in DC has revealed that it adopted new regulations for the modality.
US.- The Office of Lottery and Gaming has announced the adoption of rules to regulate sports betting in DC. The rules were published as support implementation of the “Sports Wagering Lottery Amendment Act of 2018” passed by the D.C. City Council last year.
Lottery Executive Director Beth Bresnahan explained that the 115-page document incorporates feedback from potential operators in DC’s emerging sports betting industry submitted during the public comment period that closed on July 15.
“The changes incorporated by the Office largely provide further clarification to the operating community and did not fundamentally change the rules as initially proposed earlier this summer,” she said.
Moreover, the Office will release additional information and guidance to potential applicants for sports betting licences in the upcoming weeks.
