Spain suspends lottery sales
Spanish lottery latest victim of the Coronavirus crisis.
Spain.- SELAE has suspended all lottery sales in Spain after a Royal Decree declared a state of emergency resulting from the Coronavirus crisis.
This means sales and payments of prizes under €2k from lottery retailers and online are now suspended. Likewise, all draws are postponed until further notice.
Tickets already sold through any channel will remain valid for the same draws, whenever they are held.
Prizes over €2k that come from tickets purchased at physical establishments can be collected from financial institutions that remain open.
However, SELAE has recommended players do not collect prizes until the lockdown is over and have confirmed that normal prize collection expiration periods have been suspended.
In the case of online prizes on the website www.loteriasyapuestas.es, each user will be able to collect the prize from their ewallet ‘Lotobolsa’.
