Rivers Casino reopened in early September after a six-month shutdown. Some of its last state-mandated and self-imposed Covid-19 countermeasures have come to an end this month.
Richards analysed the post-pandemic scenario and how he expects to lead the return to normalcy at the casino. He said: “We want to make sure we’re still clean, safe, friendly. Some of the [sanitary measures] we created during the reopening we’re going to keep. But we’ll bring things back as the volumes increase.”
He concluded: “I think during COVID, a lot of casinos, because of the closures, because of the restrictions, probably learned to operate a little differently. It’s unprecedented times we went through. We really don’t know what the normal is going to be. For us it’s step by step.”
