Argentine province advances with casino tenders
The government of Río Negro province will reveal the bidders for four casinos on September 30.
Argentina.- While gaming halls in the province of Río Negro remain closed due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the province is concerned about the fate of four casinos that currently have no operator for the future.
The provincial government has announced that the four casinos will be put out to a public tender, with the identities of the bidders to be revealed on September 30.
The four casinos in question include two in the city of Bariloche, one in El Bolsón and one in Jacobacci. The licences on offer will run for 20 years.
The authorities hope to inspect the bids in October and reach a decision by November, but have warned that the timeframe will depend on the number of bidders and the amount of competition.
