Penn’s Hollywood Casino York to open this week
Penn National Gaming will open Hollywood Casino York in the York Galleria Mall, in south Pennsylvania, on Thursday.
US.- Penn National Gaming plans to open its new venue, Hollywood Casino York, to the public this Thursday.
The 24-hour venue at the York Galleria Mall, in Sringettsbury Township, occupies about 80,000 square feet. It will host nearly 500 slot machines and 24 table games, possibly rising to 750 and 40 respectively.
It will be the company’s third casino in Pennsylvania. It’s expected to generate a boost for the town’s economy. PNG got approval for the category four casino in December 2019.
Lt. Brian Wilbur of Springettsbury Township Police Department said: “There’s definitely not as many people at the mall that there were 10, 15 years ago. We’re hoping that it does provide some more exposure to the mall and get some more people out.”
Ruben Warren, vice president and general manager of Hollywood Casino York, said in July: “We’re very excited to soon welcome patrons to this beautiful new property, where they’ll be able to experience premier gaming, dining and entertainment.”
