“Parimatch has seen esports betting interest increase four times”
(Exclusive interview).- Focus Gaming News speaks to Tamara Babits, Business Development Director CIS at Parimatch.
Parimatch has come out fighting during the pandemic, recently expanding its virtual sports inventory and appointing its first esports brand ambassador, Daniil “Zeus” Teslenko.
The brand sees esports and virtual sports betting as more than just a temporary replacement to traditional sports, says Tamara Babits, Business Development Director for the CIS region at Parimatch.
“Parimatch has seen esports betting interest increase four times in the past year and a half,” she says, speaking from Kyiv. Tamara also added: “We’re excited and prepared to make a huge impact in Ukraine.”
“Our UFC co-branding is not just a banner execution.”

Parimatch has a well-oiled marketing strategy in the CIS, but Ms Babits says the brand’s partnerships with sports and brand ambassadors go deeper than mere promotion, as Parimatch has a deep connection with the sports behind its tie ups.
“UFC is a perfect match with our company culture because we’re all fighters and risk takers,” she says.
“As a bettor, CIS regional CEO Dmitry Sergeev has a helicopter vision.”

She highlighted that Parimatch knows the CIS region well, and has insights into what makes bettors tick in the CIS countries.
“Players in CIS countries are emotional bettors,” she says.
Ms Babits says we can look forward to big plans from Parimatch with international features based on data analytics and a surprise sponsorship of a European club and a new brand ambassador.
