(Exclusive interview).- Ortiz Gaming closes the year reaffirming its position as the best Video Bingo company.
As 2016 is finishing, Ortiz Gaming shared the company’ highlights of this year’s performance and its next goals for another successful year in the international gaming industry. Ortiz Gaming achieved the reputation of being the best Video Bingo distributor for its intensive work on the sector in every licensed market globally. Maurilio Silva, President of the gaming company, talked with Focus Gaming News about the extensive growth Ortiz Gaming perceived during the last 12 months, with its new products, its reinvention of bingo machines and the expansion of the company to the iGaming sector.
You’ve proven year after year that Ortiz Gaming is one of the leading companies of the gaming industry. What goals did you set at the beginning of this year? Would you consider 2016 as one of your best years?
Each year we exceed our goals is always an amazing year. Over the past two decades we have consistently grown our company, each year out doing the previous, and 2016 was no different. This year we spent most of our focus on creating products which met the industries increasing technological demands, and we were able to deliver just that. This year we launched new games, systems, hardware, and iContent, including presenting at G2E an entirely new floor of gaming products. In addition, to product launches, our Ortiz Interactive division has made significant growths with integrations of our games in various global applications. Moreover, Ortiz Gaming has continued a steady expansion throughout the world.
What were some of your biggest accomplishments this year?
Ortiz Interactive has made the popular Ortiz games available on every continent, through mobile apps, Facebook, play-4-fun, real money operations and lottery solutions. The growth of this division has been extraordinary, surpassing all goals we have set for the division. But one of our most exciting and dearest accomplishment is the reinvention of Bingo, which we launched at G2E this year. With a simple change to the game graphic layout, we have made video bingo more ergonomic, and increased time in chair. The simplest ideas are usually the best one, and we believe this simple layout will become industry standard for video bingo, within the next year.

During G2E Las Vegas you were nominated for Land-Based Supplier of the Year Globally. What are your plans for next year to maintain this status?
We were honored to be shortlisted for such a prestigious Global Gaming Award. To be included with the biggest companies in the business was a true testament to our hard work and dedication. We will continue down the same path and hope we will be nominated in more categories in years to follow.
What are your goals for the coming year? Are you developing new products for 2017? If so, can you tell us a bit about it?
We are always working on some new exciting, and hi-tech things, but it will remain a secret until later next year. We do see a lot of promise in our OrtiZone and Bingotronic products. These two products have been our most requested throughout 2016 and we expect 2017 to be no different. Bingotronic is an electronic bingo hall, while OrtiZone allows you to customise your own gaming area, turning any space into a profitable gaming center. Both these products turnkey availability and customisations let casinos fit these products seamlessly into their brand.
