Ocean Casino breaks partnership with Hyatt

The partnership between Ocean Casino Resort and Hyatt Hotels Corp has reportedly ended.

US.- Ocean Casino Resort and Hyatt Hotels Corp. have ended their partnership, but the hotel will continue with normal business operations until December 31, according to the hotel’s website.

Press of Atlantic City first reported that the Hyatt website released a statement in which it said that Ocean Casino will no longer be operated as a Hyatt-affiliate hotel or within The Unbound Collection by Hyatt brand. The statement in the website says that the hotel will continue operating normally until December 31, 2019.

The Ocean Casino Resort-Hyatt partnership was one of the first ones for the facility before it rebranded and reopened its doors in June 2018. The opening of the casino was a boost for the city, which has recorded good financial results in the last few months.

Division of Gaming Enforcement (DGE) figures indicate that Ocean Casino Resort has the highest average rate per occupied hotel room through the first nine months of the year in Atlantic City. It also has the second-highest occupancy rate among the nine casino properties in Atlantic City.

Third-quarter profits up in AC

Casinos in Atlantic City have increased their profits in the third quarter of the year. The latest financial figures show that profits increased 12.5% year-on-year in the quarter ended September 30, 2019.

The two casinos that opened their doors in Atlantic City last year were the main difference when comparing the numbers. When Ocean Casino Resort and Hard Rock Atlantic City reopened last summer, their numbers weren’t as good as the ones from 3Q19. The casinos in the city earned US$239 million in the third quarter.
