NFL partners with DraftKings
DraftKings has become the first official daily fantasy sports (DFS) partner of the National Football League (NFL).
US.- The National Football League (NFL) announced on Thursday that it has partnered with another gaming company. DraftKings is now the first-ever Official Daily Fantasy Sports Partner of the League. The landmark partnership includes exclusive sponsorship of the daily fantasy sports (DFS) category with access to the league’s branding across DraftKing’s platforms
The sports league revealed that the deal aims to enhance the customer experience around the sport. The NFL and DraftKings will collaborate on a variety of content in order for fans to engage in the latter’s app, as well as integration across NFL Media properties. This deal, however, doesn’t include any rights for sports betting.
Renie Anderson, Chief Revenue Officer and Executive Vice President of NFL Partnerships, explained that DFS has been a big vehicle for fans of all types to deepen their engagement with the league. “We’re thrilled to partner with DraftKings, a clear leader in the daily fantasy space, as they continue to innovate and provide our millions of fans additional ways to interact with and enjoy the NFL.”
“This is a defining moment in the industry, and we are thrilled to become the first daily fantasy sports partner to enter into a formal relationship with the NFL,” DraftKings CEO Jason Robins said. “Throughout our discussions with the League, it was evident we share a common vision around the future of fan engagement, and we are excited to continue on this unique journey with the NFL as our Official Daily Fantasy Partner.”
