New FEC opens in Wisconsin
The new mine-themed family entertainment centre boasts 132 games and a 650-capacity restaraunt.
US.- Despite the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, a new FEC has opened in Oshkosh, Wisconsin.
The Mineshaft Oshkosh is a purpose-built venue with a mine theme. It boasts 132 games and a 650-seater restaurant.
The second Minecraft venue after an existing FEC in Hartford, Wisconsin, its theme was developed using handmade repurposed timber and furniture from local Amish craftsmen. The games room occupies 15,000 sq ft of the 40,000 sq ft venue and comprises mostly ticket-redemption games linked to an Intercard cashless system. The venue plans to add a bakery in the future.
The new venture is the creation of partners Dave Drouillard, who has experience in games distribution, restaurateur Tom Masters and investor Steve Petrie.
Drouillard said: “We have an ideal location with little competition and a good catchment area. It is very much a facility for the local community.”
