Japan.- The casino industry is set to take over Japan in the near future and Nagasaki wants to host its own integrated resort. That’s why the prefecture is set to conduct a request for information process next month in order to arrange the government’s plan and be ready by early 2018.
Nagasaki Prefectural Government Planning & Development section chief Matsuyama Satoshi confirmed that the prefecture will have its RFI next December. As quoted by AGBrief, Matsuyama said that Nagasaki wants to select a winning IR proposal in 2019 and is following plans announced earlier this year by Governor Hodo Nakamura, who advanced that the process would take place by the end of this year to compile the prefecture’s plan by next March.
The Huis Ten Bosch theme park in Sasebo city is the designated spot to become host for the potential integrated resort, the government said. Furthermore, Gov Nakamura confirmed that gambling addiction policies are set to be assessed and established by a Nagasaki prefectural task force in the near future.
