MGA cancels Aureate Gaming’s licence
The gambling regulator from Malta — MGA — has cancelled the authorisation for Aureate Gaming Solutions Limited to offer gaming services.
Malta.- The Malta Gaming Authority (MGA) continues reviewing the local industry, and this time it has announced that it cancelled Aureate Gaming Solutions Limited’s licence. Effective as of October 2, Aureate Gaming is no longer able to offer its services in Malta.
The company lost its licence in terms of regulation 10 of the Gaming Compliance and Enforcement Regulations of the MGA. “Aureate Gaming Solutions Limited is thus no longer authorised to carry out any gaming operations, register new players or accept new customer deposits, but is required to retain and provide all registered players with access to their player accounts, and to refund all funds standing to the credit of players in line with the applicable law,” explained the regulator.
While no specific details were provided by the gambling regulator from Malta, it said that the sanction was imposed on the ground that the relevant authorisation was obtained by one or more materially false or misleading representations of the Gaming Compliance and Enforcement Regulations.
MGA cancelled another licence
MGA also cancelled the authorisation awarded to UWin4U Limited. The cancellation came into effect on September 23 after the company breached local regulations.
MGA explains that UWin4U can no longer carry out any gaming operations, register new players or accept new customer deposits. However, it must retain and provide access to all registered players to their player accounts and refund all funds standing to the credit of players in line with the applicable law.
The gambling regulator said that the sanction happened after breaching paragraph (e) and of the Third Schedule to the Gaming Act (Chapter 583 of the Law of Malta) following the failure to effect payments to the Authority when lawfully due.
