Mexico: new openings in Sonora
Like in Cajeme, Hermosillo announced that the city’s casinos are now authorised to return to operations.
Mexico.- Unlike other regions, Sonora is moving forward with the reopening of their gaming lounges, and soon to follow is Hermosillo. The city’s Municipal Health Committee announced that casinos will be able to return to operations following certain safety guidelines.
The entity indicated that several commercial sectors are in a position to reopen, and gave them the green light providing they follow certain measures. The gaming lounges can only return by implementing a reduced capacity of 35% and with a restricted schedule from noon until midnight.
The measures came into force after the Committee’s decision was published in their official newsletter, meaning it is a matter of hours until the residents of Hermosillo can once again enjoy gaming in their city.
In Cajeme, the Committee for Monitoring, Control and Evaluation also enabled casinos and other commercial activities to return, in order to restart productive, economic and social industries. Mayor Sergio Pablo Mariscal Alvarado explained that casinos can reopen Friday 4 September providing they comply with specific technical guidance from the state.
