Maryland casinos continue revenue increase year over year
Maryland’s five casinos brought more than US$97 million in state revenue in September.
US.- According to the Maryland Lottery and Gaming Control Agency, the numbers mark a year over year rise for the 10th month in a row. Revenue was up 11 percent from the same month in 2015, marking the strongest gains since April.
Despite the good results, revenues went down from the US$100.3 million reported in August. The Horseshoe Casino Baltimore brought in US$26.9 million, up 21.6 percent from September 2015.
Erin Chamberlin, Horseshoe Baltimore’s general manager, said: “We’re very pleased with our September performance, having posted the largest percentage of year-over-year revenue growth of any casino in Maryland during the period,”
